It is nice combo unit that takes up very little space. The switch on the back turns the fan on or off. The fan does not need to be on to charge the batteries. The two included rechargeable batteries make this a very good value. I would certainly recommend this item to anybody looking for a charging and cooling solution. I decided to buy a charger for the controllers, and I chose this one. It does not work! We let the initial charge go for 24 hours, and when we used the controllers, the charge lasted about 15 minutes. We are back to using regular batteries. This was a total waste of money.
